FREE Math Tutors
Are you having some trouble with your math class? Could you use some free math tutoring? There will be free math tutoring held in the counseling and advisement department. The tutoring will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:10 a.m. – 8:10 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please come with questions, our free math tutors will be waiting and willing to help.
The LHS Cat Band and Guard annual Fruit Sale has begun! Many varieties of delicious fruit available. Online orders can be made at www.catband.com by clicking on the Support our Annual Fruit Sale icon. Orders can be shipped any where in the US! Local fruit orders will be delivered the week of December 9.
Seniors! Are you shopping for a college? Not sure yet where you would like to apply? Do you know how to find the information that can help you make a better decision about a college choice?
If so, please sign up in the Counseling and Advisement Office to participate in a workshop to help you research colleges, find a good fit, and be better prepared for what lies ahead! The sign-up sheet is on the counter in the Counseling and Advisement Office. Details will follow. You will also need a parent permission form to participate, so when you sign up, but sure to pick up a permission form!
LHS School Improvement Council (SIC) wants YOU!!!
Do you want to help improve Lexington High School? If so, the School Improvement Council wants YOU! Nominations will be accepted for parents of LHS students as well as LHS student representatives to serve on our school’s improvement council. Look under the “GENERAL” tab to submit nominations for parent and student representatives.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, August 30. Parent elections will be held during our fall Open House on Tuesday, September 3, 6-8 p.m. Student elections will be held during homeroom on September 11.

If your child has to take medication while at school, be it prescription or over-the-counter, you will need to complete this form for each medicine, including the prescribing health care provider’s signature and directions from that health care provider for proper administration, and return the completed form to the school nurse.
The medication, whether prescription or non-prescription, must be in its original labeled container. If you were given “samples” of any medications, they must also be in a container that appropriately identifies the medication.
